New Year's Eve!

Can you believe that 2008 is almost over for good? Today is the last day!

I don't really have anything planned, since New Year's Eve is pretty boring at my house. It use to be fun, like we'd have friends over and stuff, but not anymore. :( Now my dad's asleep by nine, my mom's asleep by ten, my brother falls asleep at eleven, and I stay up until like... two. Celebrating the New Year all by my lonesome. How sad is that?

Hopefully my friends with cell phones will be there for me and I can just text them until midnight or later. ;)

Anyway... New Year's Eve means New Year's resolutions!
Here are some of mine. :)

1) Not to be such a grump. ;)
2) Spend more time with my family
3) Not to pick fights with my brother
4) Keep my room clean.

Hopefully I can get all of those done!

Anyway, I guess that's all. :)
Bye!

Brrr.

Wow. It's really cold. And the snow is at least a foot deep!

Anyway, Christmas was awesome.
The night bof Christmas Eve, I got to sleep at about 10:30pm. I woke up again at 12:30, but was too tired to bother getting up and looking upstairs. So, I just rolled over and fell back asleep.
At about 7:30, my brother comes down to my room and says, "Get up, lazy, we've all been awake for like an hour." So I crawl out of bed and go upstairs. My stocking was stuffed with candy and cool little games and stuff, which entertained me until my parents said we could open presents.

Long story short, I got a new iPod (lime green. ♥), some cute new clothes, a towel from my aunt (a bit of a strange gift, but I like it), twenty dollars from my grandma, etc etc. And my brother and I both got Guitar Hero. :)

I hope everyone had a great Christmas, too! :)

Christmas Eve

IT'S CHRISTMAS EVE!!!!!!!

Today my young nephew Brayden stopped by today, and he was all being skeptic of Santa Claus. So, for fun, I took him onto the website called NORAD Santa Tracker. It's an awesome website to take little kids on. :) It has all this Santa info and it tells the kids where he is and everything. It totally wiped Brayden's skeptisism away. ;)

But seriously. Search "NORAD Santa Tracker" and a link to the website will pop up. Take a younger sibling or something onto it. It's fun.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!! :)

Why so serious?

Chantel isn't getting anything for Christmas, because she's been bad. :(

Wanna know how she's been bad? She hasn't posted since DECEMBER SIXTH. That was... *mental math* seventeen days ago. Over two weeks. A week and a half is pushing it for me.

So, I'm sorry, all of my invisible readers (besides Janessa and Lizzie. They're not invisible). I'll try harder, I promise.

Anyway.

Wondering about the post title? Read on to learn more.

Okay. So what has happened in the SEVENTEEN DAYS that I have not posted? Let's see...

1) I have a new obsession!!!!! (see number four)
2) School is out!
3) I haven't been having any headaches any more. :)
4) I saw The Dark Knight for the first time (more on that later)
5) It was my friend Holly's birthday on Sunday.
6) A bunch of my family came over yesterday (more on that later).
7) I changed the layout on here to something a bit more winter-y.

Okay. So, here's some extra info on number four. AKA my new obsession. :) I rented The Dark Knight a week or so ago. AND I LOVED IT. Best. Movie. Ever. Seriously. I liked it even more then *gasp* ... Twilight.

Crap. Now I'm going to be struck by lightning or something.

But, if you haven't seen The Dark Knight, you should. Unless you can't see PG-13 movies. Then you shouldn't. But that movie is AMAZING. I'm seriously obsessed. My own DVD of that movie is at the top of my Christmas wish list.

And now I've had a bazillion Dark Knight quotes swimming through my head ever since I tragically had to part with the rented DVD on Friday. Hence the title of this post, "Why so serious?" I might have a Dark Knight Quote of the Day, just to get it out of my system. :)

And now on to number six. Yesterday the following family members visited: My sister Camelle, her husband, and her four kids; my brother Gil, his wife, and his three kids; Shaylee, my niece; and Trevor, Shaylee's older brother. One of Camelle's kids, Chanse, is Shaylee and Trevor's brother as well, but Camelle adopted him, and Trevor and Shaylee live with their dads. It's a complicated thing I don't exactly want to explain right now.

So, we had a bunch of kids, mostly between the ages of four and nine, running around our house causing mayhem. It was quite entertaining.

And that's about it. I'll be sure to post more tomorrow. Or later today. Or whenever I get a chance.

Sorry. I'll shut up now.
Buh-bye!

Doctor. x.x

Okay. So I've been having headaches and all that stuff for a while, so I went to the doctor on Thursday after school. Here's what happened.

So, my mom and I got to the doctor and since we hadn't been to the clinic before (we'd seen this particular doctor, but he had moved clinics recently), my mom had to fill out this paper and I had to get my picture taken. Then a few minutes later I had to go into this little room connected to the waiting room, where this nurse sat me down and asked me questions while typing my answers into her computer. This was pretty much our conversation:

"Have you done any drugs?"
"No."
"Alcohol?"
"Nope."
"Are both of your parents living?"
"Yep."
"Do either of them have any health problems?"
"Well, my dad's kind of messed up with his health, I guess."
"Diabetes or heart problems?"
"I don't think so..."
"Okay."

And then that was pretty much it. She had me describe the headaches, took my blood pressure, and then went to go see if the doctor was ready for me. Which he was. So then my mom and I had to go into his little room that looked more like a office than a doctor's check-up room thing. The only difference was the uncomfortable bed thing with the crinkley paper on it. The doctor and I talked, and he checked my ears and my heart beat and all that.

And that was pretty much it. Then we talked about the headaches and he was like, "Well, it could be this, or this, or blah blah blah." Then he was finally like, "It's probably nothing serious, but would you like to get your blood drawn just in case?" And was was like, "NO." So he just laughed and turned to my mom and was like, "If you'd like to get it done, do you want us to do it now or later?" And my mom was like, "Well, she's already here, so let's get it over with now." So I had to go back to that little room by the waiting room where the nurse was, sit down in the little chair, and watch with horror as she got a little bucket from under a table filled with the blood drawing tools of doom, and take each one out and lay it on the table next to me. I finally looked away and waiting until I felt the terrifying pin prick. It didn't hurt too badly, it was just the thought of having a needle inside of my arm that terrified me. And even though it didn't hurt, I could still FEEL it inside my arm.

Finally, after THREE WHOLE MINUTES of that needle inside my arm, the nurse pulled it out and was all like, "Yay, all done!" Then she looked at me for a minute and was like, "Are you going to pass out?" To which I just weakly replied, "I have no clue." But I didn't, which is good. I just got my arm wrapped up in wierd-smelling purple tape and was sent on my merry way. When I got home, I was so sick from my first blood-drawing session. I was all light-headed and sick to my stomach, so I ate some Ritz crackers and felt better. :)

So, yeah. That's my terrifying doctor story.

Happy Late-Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving (yesterday)!

So. In case you haven't heard, New Moon is now officially going to be made into a movie. :) I'm extremely happy, even though I have to wait until 2010.

Um. I still haven't gotten a picture of my room. But everything's still up. My friends are making me keep it up until December 1st, because they "worked really hard on it." So, I'll get the picture soon. Promise!

Today is Black Friday. Which I hate. Because someone always dies on Black Friday because they're trampled to death by shoppers. Which is what happened to a Wal-Mart worker in New York. :(

http://money.aol.com/news/articles/_a/bbdp/wal-mart-worker-trampled-to-death/262342?icid=200100397x1213689134x1200929272

Anyway, we went to our own Wal-mart here at 10:30, when the craziness had died down a little. And guess what I saw. A really cool copy of Twilight. Instead of the apple in the hands, they have the cast of Twilight on the cover. It was fun to look at. I have my own original apple copy, though, so I can live with out this movie one. :)

Um. I think that's all. I had an okay Thanksgiving. We had turkey, yams, etc. Nothing really exciting happened.

Bye!

THE BEST DAY EVER.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

Today was, simply, THE BEST DAY EVER.

Okay. This will be a long post, since A LOT happened today.

This morning as I was getting ready for school, home alone, someone knocked on my door. Confused, I answered, only to find my friend Holly. She was all like, "Hey. I was bored, so I just decided to come to your house and walk with you to the bus stop." I was just like, "Okay..." and didn't think much of it. As we walked out the door toward the bus stop, I had NO IDEA that some of my other friends (Kenzie, Marie, and Ashley) were hiding just around the corner of my house, watching and waiting. Holly was the distraction.

Long story short, at the next bus stop, the three of them came running. I was like, "Oh my gosh, I know them!" They don't ride me bus, so I was surprised. And then, when they got on the bus, Kenzie was all like, "You know, you should really lock your front door more often." And then it hit me. They had gotten into my house and DECORATED MY ROOM.

My friends made sang happy birthday to me on the bus (Ugh.). My bus driver gave me a nice card and some gum which was SO NICE. I love her so much now!

My friends tried to get the SSA choir to sing me happy birthday, but luckily it didn't work. My friend AC got me in Creative Writing, though (-.-)

After school, Holly, Kenzie, Marie, Ashley, and our friend Sam went to the TWILIGHT MOVIE!!!!!!! The 5:30 showing, to be exact. We got in line at 3:30 and were the third group in line, which was pretty awesome.

When we got into the theater (2, to be exact), we were all ready to just start screaming in excitement. This was the moment I had been waiting for since December when I found out that they were making Twilight into a movie.

AND GUESS WHAT. After we had gotten our seats, Kenzie and I went to get popcorn. And as we were leaving, guess who we saw. MR. BROOKS AND HIS WIFE. It was so funny. He was all like, "Oh, hi Chantel!" and I was like, "Woah, hi!"

Anyway, the movie was awesome! It was a bit cheesy at parts, but I expected that much. I GOT TO SEE MY JASPER!!!!!!!!!! AND JAMES!!!! AND VICTORIA!!!! AND EMMETT!!!! AND ALICE!!!! My favorite characters, in case you haven't noticed.

I'll skip the movie details, because you need to see it for yourself. Seriously.

After we all got back to my house, I was allowed to go see my room. And guess what was in there, besides awesome streamers all over the walls and ceiling. A LIFE-SIZED CARDBOARD EDWARD. Really. They got it at a party store. When I walked in I was like, "What the.. OMG. WHAT THE HECK IS THAT?" So, now I have a life-sized cardboard Edward standing in my room. It's both awesome and... pretty creepy. O_o I'm going to take a picture and post it as soon as I can.

But yeah. This was the best day of my life.

Awesome

Dang. I haven't posted in a while.

Nothing very interesting has really happened. We remodelled my little brother's living room, so his dresser was crowding up my room for two weeks. But now I have my (sort of) spacious room back. :)

THE TWILIGHT MOVIE COMES OUT ON FRIDAY WHICH IS NOT TOMORROW BUT THE NEXT DAY. I also turn fourteen, so that's a plus. But of course you know that, if you've been reading my other posts. If you haven't, shame on you.

FYI, I'm getting into the spirit, as you can see from the poster above. ;) Then again, I've been excited for this movie since January or so, when I found out they were going to make the movie. The date on this poster is wrong, though. It says the original, December 12. BUT THAT'S NOT TRUE ANYMORE!!!! ;) I must say, I'm forever grateful to Harry Potter 6, even though I don't think I'll like it much. But it gave Twilight a chance to open on my birthday, so I have to like HP6 just a little bit. ;)

Well.. I think that's all. :P

ttyl!

Hola

Hello.

First of all, 9 more days until the best day if the year.

Okay. Right now I really want a turkey sandwhich. I saw someone eating one on TV, and now I really want one. So I'll go upstairs and make myself one once I'm done typing this post.

I'm also texting my friend Ashley right now. :)

Moving on. Thanksgiving and Christmas are getting closer. And my birthday. How cool is that? But now I'm going to have Christmas songs stuck in my head. x.x

Um. US History was kind of interesting, because we talked about the lost colony of Roanoke. English was kind of boring, because we're talking about nouns and adjectives and all that. I like what book we're reading though. The Giver.

We wrote articles for our school newspaper in Creative Writing today. Which was kind of fun. And Janessa made me realize that we have three classes together on Bdays. English, SSA, and Creative Writing. Woah.

Lol.

So, that's all. I'm not in a typing mood anymore. ;)

Yay!

Heyy.
Omg. I got my mom to read Twilight. How amazing am I? Last night, she was all like, "Well, if you're going to drag me to the movie, I might as well read the book." That was at five last night. She stayed up reading until midnight because she couldn't put the book down. And then she got up and started reading at eight AM, finished the book at nine. So yeah. Now she's upstairs reading New Moon as I type.
And, as promised, I went through my digital camera. Here are some random pictures for your enjoyment. ;)

Aw. This one's from August, from my sister Cassie's wedding. This is Jaston, my nephew, who's two. He's my other sister, Calee's, youngest son. I love this picture so much! It's cute. ;)

This is Mariah, Jaston's baby sister. She's... two months old in this picture. I'm the one holding her, but I edited myself out of the picture because I looked bad in it. But yeah. I love Mariah.

Okay. And this is Jase. He turned five, like, two days before the wedding. He's Cassie (the bride)'s youngest son. He was a little camera devil the whole reception. ;)

Okay . This one's from just a couple weeks ago, when I went forewheeling in the mountains with my dad. Pretty, huh?

Haha.

I took a picture of my Twilight shirt. For fun, because I was reaaallllyyy bored. Like, super I'm-going-to-die-of-boredom bored. So yeah.

Yeah. I love it. So there. And tomorrow I'm going to go through my digital camera, and post a few random pictures. Because it'll be Saturday and I'll have nothing to do. So yay!

Happy is too small of a word.

Okay.

You know how when I got my Twilight soundtrack CD, and I was all like, "Happiness doesn't even beging to explain it"? Well, this is one of those times again.

But first, I'll tell you about my day (Ooh, the suspense!).

I got to skip PE and Algebra because we used our first two classes for Career Day! We had this list of careers we had to choose from (we had to choose four), and then we went to each career class that we chose. I chose Cosmetology, Photographer, Nurse, and Therapist. I wanted to do Cosmetology and Photographer, and then I just did the last two because I didn't know what to chose and that's what my friends Makenzie and Ashley were doing, along with the other two I'd chosen by myself. So we got to go to each one together!

And I still have NO CLUE what I want to do with my life.

Afterwords I had to go off to Health, which was boring. We talked about negotiating. Then I went to Science, and we talked about earthquakes, which was actually kind of cool.

Okay. Now to my happiness.

After I got home from school, there was a knock on the door (dun dun dun). My little brother answered it, and then was like, "Channy, I think your shirt came!" A week ago I ordered a Twilight shirt on line. It says "Vampire Baseball League" on it. So, immediately I came upstairs, and there it was. My shirt. Happy day! And I'm wearing it now. ;) I'm going to wear it on my birthday, too.

Yes, I do know I'm pathetic. To the extreme.

So, that's my news. :)

Wednesday, November 5, 2008

Woah. History.

Weee. Changed the layout. It probably won't stay this way for very long, this is just what I like for right now. I'll probably change it within the week, though.

Anyway.

Okay. I guess my PE teacher was right. We did witness history last night. Weird.

We now have President-Elect Obama (soon to be President Obama). Wow.
Now, living in one of the most republican states in America, all I heard today was, "Oh no! Obama won." And I was just thinking, "Well, he won't be that bad. It's not the end of the world." Personally, I liked both candidates just the same. They both have their pros and cons. Hopefully Obama can get us out of the mess our country's in.

Okay. Enough with the political talk.

I've been listening to my new CD a lot. Mostly on my iPod, though, since I put the CD on my iTunes, then put my favorite songs on my iPod. And my mom took the CD to work with her to listen to it. So I was like, "Okay... You do that." But now I have "Leave Out All the Rest" stuck in my head. Which is fine with me.

I've been in kind of a bad mood today. No clue why. To add to the bad-moodness, Mr. Brooks wouldn't really listen to anything I had to say during class. When he did, he didn't really give me the information I wanted. So I eventually gave up and wrote on the whiteboard with AC (friend in that class). I wrote, "November 21=Magical Day. (My birthday and Twilight movie)." And then AC came along and wrote, "Chantel loves Jasper Cullen." And so I wrote next to it, "Shut up, AC." And he just laughed at me. >:(

By the way, ONLY 15 MORE DAYS!

And my friends Holly and Marie were fighting. So I told Marie, "You better make up with her by November 21st, or else. That's your deadline. I'm serious." And so she went over to Holly and made up! Call me the peace maker. Okay, I usually cause the fights, but I can end them when I want to, too.

By the way, I'm listening to "I Caught Myself" by Paramore on the Twilight soundrack. Just so you know. ;) It's also a good song. The Linkin Park one's still my favorite, though. This one's my second favorite.

Tuesday, November 4, 2008

Happiness doesn't even begin to explain it.

Yay. I kind of played around with the layout. It's nothing fancy, but at least it's not a big white blob of boringness anymore.

Anyway...

Today is a magical day, my friends.

No, not just the presidential election. ;)

The Twilight Movie Soundtrack came out today! And guess who found it waiting for her on the kitchen counter when she got home? Moi.

I'm listening to "Leave Out All the Rest." It's the Linkin Park song. Wow. It's seriously in my favorite song on this soundtrack, I think. I love it. A lot. If you haven't listened to it yet, you should. I don't even know why I love it. I just do.

Um... what else?

Oh. My PE teacher said that since we're kind of going to witness history tonight during the elections (getting the first female vice president or first African American president), we should right about it in our journals or something. So I turned to my friend Holly and was all like, "Yay. Something to put in my blog."

But yeah. I'm kind of excited, I will admit. Just don't tell anybody. ;)

So, that's all for now.

Besides the fact that there's only 16 more days until my birthday. It's November 21, in case you don't want to do the math. I know I wouldn't. And guess what. That's when the Twilight movie comes out. To say I'm excited would be a big under-statement.

Jeez, I can't wait until I'm fourteen. It just seems so much older than thirteen. Like, thirteen seems like, "OMG I SAW ZAC EFFRON AT WAL-MART!! I'M SO FREAKING SERIOUS. HE WAS BUYING A JUG OF MILK." And fourteen is like, "OMG. TWILIGHT COMES OUT IN JUST 16 DAYS. JUMP UP AND DOWN WITH ME, PLEASE!"

Okay, not much of a jump. But at least I can put, "Age: 14" on anything that asks, right? Right.

Yay for blogs!!!

Okay. So, this is my blog of amazingness. Be amazed.
Today in English, we had to go to our class blog and post a comment, and then Janessa (who was sitting next to me) was all like, "Ooh, look at my blog!" So I clicked on it and was all like, "Ooh! Janessa's blog!" And then I got thinking that I should maybe make one, too. It seemed like a fun idea. So here I sit now, typing away. Yay.

This is a working progress, okay? It'll suck at first, I know. I'm still learning the ropes.

And I don't care if no one reads this. I don't expect anyone too! So, there. Ha.

Um, I guess that's all for now.
