MUSINGS OF A FANATIC (:

Alrighty. So, I kind of fell out of this whole blogging thing. I apologize, my invisible readers.

Anyway. I'm going to try to start fresh and new. So, I will now direct you to my new blog, right HERE!

Let's see how long I can keep things going this time around. (:

Summer (: and much-needed updates!

"Summer afternoon -- summer afternoon; to me, those have always been the two most beautiful words in the English language." ~ Henry James

Ah. So, yeah, that quote there pretty much sums up everything. (:

Well then. I realized that I haven't updated this thing since April 5th. Understandably, a lot has happened since then! Shall we recap?

April 27: We began preforming Joseph
May 1: Closing night of Joseph.
May 28: My junior high experience officially ended and i became a sophomore
June 1 - 11: I read all 1200 pages of Les Miserables, by Victor Hugo. Let me just say it was worth it.
June 18: I realized how I've been completely neglecting this blog

So... yeah. (: Let's be a bit more thorough, alright?

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
Let me just say the being in Joseph was one of the best experiences I had this year. I loved it. I became close to so many people that I would have never became friends with otherwise, and I can honestly say that I was sad when it was over. It was one of the best weeks of my life.

End of the School Year
Yep. It's true. I'm no longer a junior high student, but an official high school student. A sophomore. That's so insanely crazy that I can barely comprihend it. However, I'm really happy with the high school that I'm going to and I can only hope that i'll be a fantastic experiance. (:

Les Miserables
So... I recently got re-introduced to this amazing musical, and once again I've fallen absolutely in love. (: Even more so than the last time, I think. So, I decided, "Hey, how about I read the book?" So, I reserved it at my local library and picked it up on June 1st. I read all 1200 pages in eleven days. (: This book was REALLY good. While a bit tough to read, what with it being originally written in French in the late 1800's, I think I got through it pretty nicely. And I'd totally read it again in a heartbeat. (:

Still on the topic of Les Miserables, I have some exciting news (for me, anyway). You see, 2010 is the 25th anniversary of Les Mis. So, a special 25th anniversary tour is being done. And guess what. In summer 2011, they will be coming to Salt Lake City. Yeah. When I heard that, I pretty much died a little with excitement. And, with a lot of hard work, I persuded my mom to get me tickets to the show. June 5th, 2011 will be one of the greatest days of my life. (:

And now we're back to today. (: I realized that I haven't updated this lonely little blog since April, and decided that now would be a good time to pick it back up. So... here I am. (:

The Song of the Week has officially been changed. It's now "Permanent" by David Cook. Such a beautiful, emotional song. David wrote it for his older brother Adam in 2008. For over a decade, Adam Cook fought against brain cancer that eventually spread to his spine. In May of 2009, Adam lost his battle. Listening to this song and knowing the emotion behind it really makes me love it.

Anyway, this update is now over. (:
But before I go, I must say that I like the idea of putting a quote at the beginning of every post, so I think that I'll start doing that. (:

Hahaha. Well, that's all for now.

Happy late Easter!

Hope everyone had a good Easter weekend! I know I did. :) Nothing but relaxing at home. I even watched a bit of General Confrence on Sunday. And then, for some odd reason that I don't really know, I started remembering bits and piece of The Prince of Egypt. I used to watch that movie ALL the time as a kid. I absolutely loved it. However, so many years had passed that I honestly didn't know what happened in the movie (well... besided what happens in the Bible. :P) So... I got onto YouTube and found someone who had posted the entire movie in 11 parts. So... I sat down and watched the entire thing. :) And now I remember why I loved that movie so much growing up. It's just too bad that we don't actually own it, because then I could watch it from a more comfortable place than my uncomfortable computer chair.

Anyway... nothing else really new. Besides the fact that I changed the Song of the Week earl.y :P

You see, I FINALLY got enough money to go buy myself a nice little present... Danny Gokey's CD "My Best Days," which was released a month ago. I have now fallen in love once again with this guy's voice! :) Then again, I never fell out of love... but you get my point.

I even think that I talked about Danny in some of my blog posts while he was on Idol... yeah, they're there.

Anyway... the new song of the week is "I Still Believe" from the previously said album by the previously said man. It's a really nice, even insperational song. I'm really happy with it. :)

Just be prepared for some more Gokey coming up in the Song of the Week for the next few months. ;)

That's all for now! ♥

So sorry... :(

Yep. I'm done with blogging. I don't even do it anymore, so I'm going to delete my blog and move on with my life...

APRIL FOOLS. :)

Um... yeah. I'm fully aware how awfully lame that was. ;)
But I had to do something for this stupid little holiday, now didn't I?

It's true, though. I've been a bit neglectant of my blog. I need to work on it a bit more.
I promise I will, all of my invisible little blog readers!

Anyway... it's supposedly spring. Key word: supposedly. Is freezing temperatures and giant killer snow the accepted definition of spring? I don't think so!!!!!

Haha. Yeah. That's how it was yesterday. 30 degrees with snow. At the end of March. Not cool.

So... yeah.

Today, I had to register for all my high school classes. And, let me tell you, it was one of the most stressful experiences of my life. A lot of my classes were already full, so I had to compromise. I finally finished it, though, so the drama is over. :) It was pretty stressful in the moment, though, considering I had to do it in the library at school with my friends Kenzie and Daenen, since we had Joseph reherasals and couldn't leave (did I mention that I'm in the school's preduction of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat?).

Speaking of, the Song of the Week is from Joseph. :) It's been stuck in my head for the past few hours. So... yeah. :) It's called "Close Every Door" and really is a beautiful song.

Well, I think that's all the updates I have for my boring life...
Hope you enjoyed (I guess...)! :)

Ah... spring. :)

Okay, okay. So it's not OFFICIALLY spring. But... March is the month were it officially starts (21st or 22nd, I think. Somewhere around there). I'm excited. It's already feeling oh so much warmer. And soon the snow will completely disappear, and then it'll slowly melt off of the mountains (except, the mountains aren't usually cleared of snow until like... May).

I can't wait for the warmness. :)

Anyway, let's see. Updates, updates...
I've been staying after for musical rehearsals at school. We're doing Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Awesome musical. ♥

And... I changed the layout. To something more springy. :)

Other than that, nothing much has really happened. So... I hearby end this blog post. ;)

A baby and Valentines. :)

Hahaha. So, first of all, HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!
Or, also known as... Singles Awareness Day. :P

Well, I have some very happy news.
My niece was born on Thursday! (:

And yes, I do have a picture to show off. (;

As the picture says, this is little miss Josee Lynn. Born on the afternoon of February 11th, 2010. Weighing  6 lbs, 7oz. 18 inches long. (: She's a cute little thing, isn't she?
So, yeah. I'm happy. (:

However, last night around midnight, my dad got a call from my sister saying the Josee was having some trouble breathing, so they took her to the hospital. Since she was born a little less than three weeks early, that's understandable. But... please pray for her, okay?

Well, that's all for now.
Happy Valentines Day!

Wednesday, January 27, 2010

So sorry...

So. This is my first post of 2010. Yeah, yeah, I know that it's like...27 days after the new year. But it's the thought that counts, right?

Hahah... I don't really have much to say. Yes, I know, I have a pitifully boring life. I apologize.

Um. I changed the layout. It's no longer Christmas. It's now Valentines Day. :) Oh jeez. Valentines day is over the weekend this year... how sad is that? I absolutely love it when this particular holiday is during school, when I see everybody. ;)

Andd... my MixPod account is having issues, so I won't be able to have a Song of the Week until it gets fixed. So, sadly, my music has to be taken down for the time being. :(

Woot! Fixed my playlist. :) So, the song of the week this time is "One Day You Will" by Lady Antebellum. In case you haven't been told, Lady Antebellum is my new life and soul. Just so you know. :) So... listen and enjoy! :)

Hm. What else?

Oh! One more thing, could any one who reads this please pray for Haiti? No, I don't have any personaly connections there, but honestly, they're obviously going through some hard times right now. And, if you were going through the same thing, wouldn't you want people to be thinking of you and helping you? So, please pray for them. ♥ ♥

But... I think that's all. Short post, I know, but I have nothing else to say!
So... yeah. The end. :)
