Okay. Today in Creative Writing, we went to a fancy restaurant, because we have to write a review. Anyway, it was really fun. Janessa was there, and Lizzie was there... so yeah. I sat by Holly and Marie and Kylie and Mckena and Robyn, and then AC came over and sat at the empty seat by me. And then Mckena drank five glasses of sparkling cranberry juice, and I swear she got drunk off of it... she was acting kind of loopy.
And then, we saw this waitor, who's nametag said he was Luke. And when I saw him, I immediately thought of Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob Black in the Twilight movie. They just look so much alike. So I turn to Mckena to tell her and she automaticly says, "He's cute, huh?" And I agree and say, "He kind of looks like Taylor Lautner." And Mckena goes, "HE DOES!" So then for the rest of them time she was trying to get a picture of him on her phone, but it didn't work, to her dismay.
And then AC was all like, "He looks like who?" And I said, "Taylor Lautner." Of course, he had no clue who that was. So I said, "Jacob Black in the movie." And he immediately knew. Because AC read Twilight. But he hated it, and refused to see the movie. >:(
And then, sadly, we had to leave the restaurant and go back to school. I got stuck in the back, which sucked. Any other time, I'm perfectly fine with the back. But not when it's my Creative Writing class in the back. Because then it's loud and makes me crabby. >:(
And then Mckena and Nikki started a snowball fight... on the bus. Mckena opened the bus window, reached up on the roof, and grabbed snow. Mr Brooks didn't notice at all, of course. So snow was being thrown around, and it eventually (of course) landed on me. COLD.
When we got back to school, the bell had already rang. Holly, Marie, and I all missed the bus. Which was okay. I just called my mom and she gave us all a ride.
That's all. :)

2009!
*drumroll*
My first post of 2009.
Yay!!
Okay. Moving on.
I'm watching Jumanji right now. I haven't watched it since I was like eight, but it was on tv and I thought it'd be worth it. It's a fun movie, but it still scares that crap out of me. I had to change the channel during the bat part in the begining. I mean, if I had watched it, I probably would have realized that it wasn't that scary, but my little eight-year-old self inside of me was reminding me of how terrified I was of the bats back then, so I quickly changed the channel. When I went back, it was at the part where the Allen kid was getting sucked into the game, and I changed the channel again when his fingers started going all wierd, because my little eight-year-old self decided to pipe up again.
I'm watching it again now, telling my eight-year-old self to shut up, because I'm watching the movie no matter what.
Jeez. I sound insane.
Anyway, it's at the part where Allen comes back when the kid roles a five or an eight (can't remember which), and he just jumped on the cop car and is like, "What year is it?".
So, yeah.
Now the monkeys are in the cop car.
Okay, I'll shut up now.
There's nothing more really to say, I just wanted to make my first post of 2009. :)
Bye!

New Year's Eve!
Can you believe that 2008 is almost over for good? Today is the last day!
I don't really have anything planned, since New Year's Eve is pretty boring at my house. It use to be fun, like we'd have friends over and stuff, but not anymore. :( Now my dad's asleep by nine, my mom's asleep by ten, my brother falls asleep at eleven, and I stay up until like... two. Celebrating the New Year all by my lonesome. How sad is that?
Hopefully my friends with cell phones will be there for me and I can just text them until midnight or later. ;)
Anyway... New Year's Eve means New Year's resolutions!
Here are some of mine. :)
1) Not to be such a grump. ;)
2) Spend more time with my family
3) Not to pick fights with my brother
4) Keep my room clean.
Hopefully I can get all of those done!
Anyway, I guess that's all. :)

Brrr.
Wow. It's really cold. And the snow is at least a foot deep!
Anyway, Christmas was awesome.
The night bof Christmas Eve, I got to sleep at about 10:30pm. I woke up again at 12:30, but was too tired to bother getting up and looking upstairs. So, I just rolled over and fell back asleep.
At about 7:30, my brother comes down to my room and says, "Get up, lazy, we've all been awake for like an hour." So I crawl out of bed and go upstairs. My stocking was stuffed with candy and cool little games and stuff, which entertained me until my parents said we could open presents.
Long story short, I got a new iPod (lime green. ♥), some cute new clothes, a towel from my aunt (a bit of a strange gift, but I like it), twenty dollars from my grandma, etc etc. And my brother and I both got Guitar Hero. :)
I hope everyone had a great Christmas, too! :)

Christmas Eve
IT'S CHRISTMAS EVE!!!!!!!
Today my young nephew Brayden stopped by today, and he was all being skeptic of Santa Claus. So, for fun, I took him onto the website called NORAD Santa Tracker. It's an awesome website to take little kids on. :) It has all this Santa info and it tells the kids where he is and everything. It totally wiped Brayden's skeptisism away. ;)
But seriously. Search "NORAD Santa Tracker" and a link to the website will pop up. Take a younger sibling or something onto it. It's fun.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!! :)

Why so serious?
Chantel isn't getting anything for Christmas, because she's been bad. :(
Wanna know how she's been bad? She hasn't posted since DECEMBER SIXTH. That was... *mental math* seventeen days ago. Over two weeks. A week and a half is pushing it for me.
So, I'm sorry, all of my invisible readers (besides Janessa and Lizzie. They're not invisible). I'll try harder, I promise.
Anyway.
Wondering about the post title? Read on to learn more.
Okay. So what has happened in the SEVENTEEN DAYS that I have not posted? Let's see...
1) I have a new obsession!!!!! (see number four)
2) School is out!
3) I haven't been having any headaches any more. :)
4) I saw The Dark Knight for the first time (more on that later)
5) It was my friend Holly's birthday on Sunday.
6) A bunch of my family came over yesterday (more on that later).
7) I changed the layout on here to something a bit more winter-y.
Okay. So, here's some extra info on number four. AKA my new obsession. :) I rented The Dark Knight a week or so ago. AND I LOVED IT. Best. Movie. Ever. Seriously. I liked it even more then *gasp* ... Twilight.
Crap. Now I'm going to be struck by lightning or something.
But, if you haven't seen The Dark Knight, you should. Unless you can't see PG-13 movies. Then you shouldn't. But that movie is AMAZING. I'm seriously obsessed. My own DVD of that movie is at the top of my Christmas wish list.
And now I've had a bazillion Dark Knight quotes swimming through my head ever since I tragically had to part with the rented DVD on Friday. Hence the title of this post, "Why so serious?" I might have a Dark Knight Quote of the Day, just to get it out of my system. :)
And now on to number six. Yesterday the following family members visited: My sister Camelle, her husband, and her four kids; my brother Gil, his wife, and his three kids; Shaylee, my niece; and Trevor, Shaylee's older brother. One of Camelle's kids, Chanse, is Shaylee and Trevor's brother as well, but Camelle adopted him, and Trevor and Shaylee live with their dads. It's a complicated thing I don't exactly want to explain right now.
So, we had a bunch of kids, mostly between the ages of four and nine, running around our house causing mayhem. It was quite entertaining.
And that's about it. I'll be sure to post more tomorrow. Or later today. Or whenever I get a chance.
Sorry. I'll shut up now.
Buh-bye!

Doctor. x.x
Okay. So I've been having headaches and all that stuff for a while, so I went to the doctor on Thursday after school. Here's what happened.
So, my mom and I got to the doctor and since we hadn't been to the clinic before (we'd seen this particular doctor, but he had moved clinics recently), my mom had to fill out this paper and I had to get my picture taken. Then a few minutes later I had to go into this little room connected to the waiting room, where this nurse sat me down and asked me questions while typing my answers into her computer. This was pretty much our conversation:
"Have you done any drugs?"
"No."
"Alcohol?"
"Nope."
"Are both of your parents living?"
"Yep."
"Do either of them have any health problems?"
"Well, my dad's kind of messed up with his health, I guess."
"Diabetes or heart problems?"
"I don't think so..."
"Okay."
And then that was pretty much it. She had me describe the headaches, took my blood pressure, and then went to go see if the doctor was ready for me. Which he was. So then my mom and I had to go into his little room that looked more like a office than a doctor's check-up room thing. The only difference was the uncomfortable bed thing with the crinkley paper on it. The doctor and I talked, and he checked my ears and my heart beat and all that.
And that was pretty much it. Then we talked about the headaches and he was like, "Well, it could be this, or this, or blah blah blah." Then he was finally like, "It's probably nothing serious, but would you like to get your blood drawn just in case?" And was was like, "NO." So he just laughed and turned to my mom and was like, "If you'd like to get it done, do you want us to do it now or later?" And my mom was like, "Well, she's already here, so let's get it over with now." So I had to go back to that little room by the waiting room where the nurse was, sit down in the little chair, and watch with horror as she got a little bucket from under a table filled with the blood drawing tools of doom, and take each one out and lay it on the table next to me. I finally looked away and waiting until I felt the terrifying pin prick. It didn't hurt too badly, it was just the thought of having a needle inside of my arm that terrified me. And even though it didn't hurt, I could still FEEL it inside my arm.
Finally, after THREE WHOLE MINUTES of that needle inside my arm, the nurse pulled it out and was all like, "Yay, all done!" Then she looked at me for a minute and was like, "Are you going to pass out?" To which I just weakly replied, "I have no clue." But I didn't, which is good. I just got my arm wrapped up in wierd-smelling purple tape and was sent on my merry way. When I got home, I was so sick from my first blood-drawing session. I was all light-headed and sick to my stomach, so I ate some Ritz crackers and felt better. :)
So, yeah. That's my terrifying doctor story.
